Our continuing success An atmosphere of achievement is woven into the fabric of school life and success is very much a part of our pupils' everyday experience. Rewarding achievement We believe very strongly that ' success breeds success' and that it provides its own self- perpetuating motivation. We're quick to recognise, celebrate and reward success in all its forms and our regular prizegiving ceremonies provide encouragement and incentives, not only for academic excellence, but also for effort, improvement and good conduct. Guidance and feedback We know that pupils respond best to clear academic guidance and strong feedback. To put them on the right path, we carefully plan and structure effective study programmes for our pupils. To help them stay on that path - and ensure that parents are always up- to- date with how their daughter is getting on - we provide detailed and regular progress reporting. Aiming high At Coombe Girls' School, we work hard to help every child achieve her very best. We're also realistic enough to know that different pupils are capable of achieving different standards so we provide an ' express' stream to help gifted students receive appropriate challenges and fulfil their potential. 8
