Extracurricular life Try new things, develop new skills and make new friends - our clubs and organisations will help you broaden your horizons. The sporting life We offer plenty of sporting opportunities with senior teams including football, basketball, netball, rugby, athletics, cricket, badminton and cross- country. We compete against colleges from across the borough and beyond, often with great success. Sixth Form games sessions are part of the curriculum. We also offer clubs such as dance, gymnastics and aerobics. A wealth of culture A whole host of cultural clubs and societies is based at Coombe. Individual instrumental and vocal lessons are available through the Music Department and we run an orchestra and chamber choir. There's plenty of chance to take part in concerts and events during the year, including our annual charity Rag Week. Art and drama are also flourishing with regular exhibitions and impressive productions. So much more Whatever your interests, there's so much to get involved with at Coombe from ' The Torch' - our Sixth Form newspaper - to Fantasy Investors, community service work and academic extension lectures for particularly interested students. You can also develop your hobbies and learn new skills at the array of evening classes based at Coombe including everything from art to yoga. Learning a new language Coombe is a Modern Foreign Languages Specialist School and weoffer a full extracurricular programme to our sixth formers including beginner, intermediate or advanced clubs. During study periods, you can use the excellent facilities in the Languages Sixth Form Room currently offering French, German, Spanish, Italian, Urdu, Korean, Chinese and Latin. Out and about We offer a range of residential trips abroad organised through subject areas. They'll give you the chance to explore the wider world, with destinations including everywhere from New York to the South of France. 15
